About the shop
Rüütel & Matilda is an English-language bookshop in Tallinn's Old Town, founded by booklovers Ruta Nõmmela and Madis Mikkor in 2022 as an independent second-hand bookshop. Its main collection features contemporary and classical fiction and non-fiction, including English translations of Estonian and Baltic authors. The shop is run as an NGO and also sells literary magazines, stationery and gifts.
